Tasting Notes

Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Nov 18
The 2014 Barolo Prapò is delicate, aromatic and nuanced, and yet also shows quite a bit of Serralunga muscles. Sage, mint, tobacco, rose petal and blood orange give the 2014 much of its beguiling personality. Dark and inviting, the 2014 has much to offer. I can't wait to taste this wine in a more normal vintage, as the 2014 has plenty of Serralunga character and feel.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
